WELCOME TO TWO MEN JOINING THE MSC AUSTRALIAN PROVINCE.
On Friday January 24th, there was a reception ceremony for Vincent Phong Phan and Tuan Anh Nguyen joining the pre-Novitiate program at Cuskelly House in Blackburn in Melbourne.
Provincial Chris McPhee officiated and the men were presented by Frank Dineen our Vocations Director.
The parish of St Thomas hosted the ceremony, Terry Bowman, parish priest, and a number of the members of the parish. Members of the MSC Melbourne community were present, Tim Brennan visiting from Rome.
Pre-Novitiate director, Khoi Doan Nguyen welcomed everyone. Also present were Mark Hanns, new formation director, and Kenji Konda who made his first profession in December and is returning to study at the YTU.
Chris McPhee highlighted a constant and favourite theme of his: The basic foundation which MSC members need to have and to develop is: -The desire for God - Making space for God - Discerning and looking for God’s will for us and His people.
All those present shared in the blessing of Vincent and Anh.
Members of St Thomas hospitality group prepared a celebratory afternoon tea – enjoyed by all.
