ON THE MOVE, LITERALLY: THE HEART OF LIFE CENTRE, 2020
Many visitors to this site will be surprised to learn that the Heart of Life Centre has had to move.
The Centre has been in existence since 1983 and has lived in several venues: 3 years with the Josephites in Surrey Hills, 17 at the Family Care Sisters in Canterbury, 6 years with the hospitality of the Missionaries of St Paul at Wantirna, 11 years in the former Discalced Carmelite House on the Franciscan property of St Pachals, Box Hill.
At the end of the year, our lease at St Paschal's was not renewed.
Providence led us, ecumenically, to the Anglican St George’s Vicarage at Malvern (Glenferrie Rd near High Street). Furniture and books have been moved in the last few weeks. Today, we open and the year’s program will begin on time in the new premises which have rooms for conferences, for offices – and a garden as well as a beautiful church.
We want to reassure those who know Heart of Life that our program continues at St George’s for 2020.
