o    Our Vietnamese brothers and OLSH Sisters and laity are certainly living the Charism with great enthusiasm.  Last June 16, the members of Jules Chevalier’s family gathered together in a small Chapel in Scholastic house in Thu Duc to celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart. They are MSC, DOLSH, MSCs, MSC Lay Association in Sai Gon, students in the aspirant’s house, Thang from Oz and some close friends of the Vietnam MSC community. Most of our scholastics were absent because they are on their summer pastoral.

o    The Feast of the Sacred Heart this year become special with the presence of the three newly ordained priests: Hung, Tinh and Quy. Vietnamese Church’s intention prayer on this feast is to pray for all the priests. May their life and mission always reflect the image of Christ.

o    Hoang was a presider and Thang was the homilist. The Eucharist celebration began with the MSC hymn bringing the spirit of MSC to the assembly. Though many but all the members are in one desire to become a good heart like Jesus’ heart. The Homily again stirred the audience’s hearts when Thang broke God’s word by sharing his pastoral experience. He invited the audience to reflect on how we cope with obstacles, trials, and difficulties in our daily life. If they are so heavy, it means we need to surrender to God and open our hearts to welcome Him to our lives, so that all heavy laden will become lighter.

o    Following the mass was the agape meal. The students in the aspirant house surprised everyone with a short and very touching video clip about the Spirituality of the Heart. The party then went on very excited with small games, and magic shows led by Tu, our postulant. The surprising interview with random participants created a lot of laughs and happiness as well as some moments of gratitude for being heard about someone’s life and vocation sharing.

o    The celebration ended with a close singing prayer and wishing that everyone will bring a happy heart home.
