Message from MSC Vietnam: Acceptance Celebration (Jan 9th, 2021)
In every year, normally, Chris McPhee, MSC, Fr. Provincial from Australia province, comes to Vietnam to preside this celebration. But because of Covid-19 pandemic, he couldn’t come, and also because of that, Uncle Bob, MSC, Uncle Đẹp Lão, couldn’t come as well.
In this celebration, we also don’t have Fr. Thời, MSC, director of scholastic formation. He came back to Australia for two days ago, on January, 7. Therefore, our leader, Fr. Hoàng, MSC, presided this joyful celebration with parish priest (who allows us to have his church for this celebration), all MSC members, Chevalier family’s member, MSC’s students, our benefactors, and especially with two new postulants and their parents, relatives and friends.
In homily, the director of postulant formation gave one massage to those who attended this celebration and particularly to new postulants about giving and receiving. From this message, he invited people and particularly two new postulants to experience God’s unconditional giving for the sake of people as receivers, not for Himself so that they also courageously and freely give their life totally to God and others, especially the poor and the little ones.
Before final blessing, Fr. Minh, MSC, director of vocation promotion, read messages of Chris MCphee, Fr. Provincial to all MSC members, benefactors and particular to new postulants and their parents.
A joyful party was followed after mass. A happy and joyful message of Uncle Bob was read at here. At the end of party, we joyfully received messages and lucky money from Chris Mcphee, Fr. Provincial.
We are so grateful for this celebration. The people now more and more know us and therefore we have more young people in every year. Thank God for this great blessings and thank for the generosity and commitment of young people who are having desire to know and to dedicate their lives into our Church and particularly into our beautiful MSC Congregation in Vietnam. Finally, we see the words of our Founder, Fr. Jules Chevalier coming true in the world, particular in Vietnam:
“The Word, coming from the Heart of his Father, made the world emerge from nothing; and from the Heart of the incarnate Word, pierced on Calvary, I see a new world emerging, the world of those he has chosen. And this creation, so fertile, full of grandeur, and inspired by love and mercy, is the Church, the mystical body of Christ, which makes this new creation present on earth until the end of time.
