The story behind this photo taken in Alice Springs is that Mother Therese had collected all the left over food from the plane journey and gave the bag to Len to carry for her!
The following words are Len’s just after medical treatment was ceased at his request. His room was vacated of visitors, and he had received his first dose of ‘comfort’ medication. Just the two of us sitting in the silence with the door closed. He leant back, closed his eyes, and ’said’ these words, which I had recorded on my phone to not forget what Len had said.
