RIP, Chris Murphy MSC

We received the sad news today that Fr. Chris Murphy MSC, passed away this morning at St Joseph's Aged Care, Kensington (NSW).  We thank the staff of St Joseph's who cared for Chris, especially as his health deteriorated in recent days.

Chris' first appointment was to the teaching staff at Downlands College.  He then transitioned to parish ministry. Throughout the years, he served as an assistant priest in the parishes of Moonah (TAS), Kippax (ACT), and Hindmarsh (SA), and parish priest of Hindmarsh (SA), Henley Beach (SA), Kippax (ACT), Kensington (NSW), and Blackburn (VIC).

Wherever he was appointed, there was an overwhelming sense of love and appreciation for Chris, and the respectful and caring approach in the way he presented himself was affirmed by many.  An exemplary pastor.
