On the Feast of the Lord's Transfiguration, two of our confreres were ordained as deacons: Rev. Chris John A. Awa, MSC (Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu) and Rev. Julieto O. Amaneo, Jr., MSC (Mainit, Surigao del Norte) through the laying on of hands of His Excellency, the Most Rev. Honesto F. Ongtioco, Bishop of Cubao.
Rev. John is assigned as deacon for our parishes in the Camotes Islands, Cebu and will be based in the Parish of Sto. Niño in Poro. Meanwhile, Rev. Julieto is assigned as parish deacon in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish in Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
