Brian Galagher uses the words integrity, humility, grace in people to talk about their compassion, their being with other people. The writing is semi-autobiographical, as Brian uses examples mainly from his own experience. In a paraphrase of Pope Francis’ description of humility, he concludes that compassion is that virtue which, when you have it, you don’t think you do.
