Acknowledging Brian Taylor MSC, 90

Fr Arun John Kumar MSC, from India but working in Japan many years, in Melbourne for Siloam, Spiritual Direction program at Heart of Life, wrote this short tribute to Brian (MSC Japan photo, Brian in back row, Arun front left):
Fr. Brian Taylor MSC comes from South Australia-Adelate. His missionary journey to Japan began at 30. Japan is the most unique country and culture on earth. Though Japan has a small percentage of Christians their faith is strong enough. His response to the mission in Japan developed in humble service and his incredible experience reached 60 years in Japan. Soon he will turn 90. His good knowledge of mechanical and engineering helped our missionaries of the sacred heart in Japan to build 3 churches. He is approachable and well respected by all.

Even after his retirement he continues to supply in the churches. He is strong in heart and spirit. He considered it when he was sent as a missionary to Japan for life. He gave up his own ideas, comforts and completely dedicated to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. His service in Japan as a member of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC) is commendable. He is living a life of not missing God`s goal.
