Newly-elected US Provincial Superior, Mike Miller MSC

The US province was established from Germany in 1939.  After World War II, American MSC went to New Ireland, Diocese of Kavieng. Alfred Stemper MSC was a Bishop of Kavieng.

Later the province began a mission in Colombia. Former Superior General, Mark McDonald was on mission there.  Also a number of men from India and the Pacific Islands work or have worked in the US.  Ron Larkin was a General Counsellor, as mentioned, Mark Mc Donald served 12 years as Superior General, newly elected Provincial, Mike Miller, has served as Secretary General. Some American Brothers have served on the staff at Via Asmara.

Chris Chaplin, present at the American Chapter writes: the province nominees for the position of Provincial of the US Province were Mike Miller, Selva Lucas, and Hugo Londoño. 

However, in the USA, they have different statutes and so the nominations come only from the whole province some months prior to the Chapter. 

There are no nomination requirements during the Chapter itself. The first ballot is open to any member. Hence, as Mike Miller was elected on the first ballot, others also receiving votes included, Hugo, Selva, Frank Natale, Jos Cristy, and Lucio (Luis) Seguirá.
