It was in May 1928 that Sister Liboria MSC, the American Provincial at the time, landed with a group of sisters in Australia. In the early years, they worked with the Salesian priests at their newly-founded college in Sunbury, Victoria.

Eventually, they were to staff hospitals in Moreland, Geelong and Mena House in East Melbourne. They also staffed schools in Wattle Park and West Heidelberg and Deepdene/Balwyn. In later years, they have worked in parishes. Many of the sisters have worked in different ministries, aboriginal community in Araluen, in music and liturgy ministries, They have worked in PNG and the Philippines.

Unfortunately, they are not so well-known in Australia as they are based in Melbourne. We are pleased to offer this post and photos to support the Sisters.
