OUR MSC PRE-NOVITIATE FOUR, RECEPTION CEREMONY AT BLACKBURN.
Earlier this week, we posted a news items about four young men who have decided to join the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart.
Friday afternoon saw a ceremony in the parish church of St Thomas Blackburn, a reception of the four men into the Pre-Novitiate formation program at Cuskelly House, Blackburn.
Over forty parishioners, who have come to know our MSC students over the last ten years, attended the ceremony. The MSC in Melbourne were all there as well as OLSH Sisters and MSC Sisters and RNDM Vietnamese Sisters.
Everyone was welcomed by the Pre-Novitiate Director, Khoi Nguyen MSC.
The provincial superior, Chris McPhee, received the four men and spoke of the MSC Constitutions’ focus on our search for God and its overflow into love of others - not simply a vocation/call to a particular kind of work.
Presented by Frank Dineen MSC (with PP, Terry Bowman quietly lighting the .Paschal Candle)

A fine spread was provided by a parish committee for afternoon tea.
Over the coming weeks, we will post a story and photo from each of the four, something of their story and what led them to the MSCs.
