A JOYFUL WEEKEND: ORDINATION OF FR KHOI DOAN NGUYEN MSC
After the news of confreres' deaths and requiems this week, we are happy to post the news of the priestly ordination of Khoi Doan Nguyen MSC, Saturday September 8th 2018.
Khoi has served as a deacon in the parish at of Our Lady of the Rosary, Kensington. His formation and study for the priesthood were at Blackburn and the Yarra Theological Union, Melbourne.
The ordination, by Sydney Auxiliary Bishop Terry Brady, took place at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, Bonnyrigg, NSW.
Khoi's mother and sisters were present, his relatives and friends, the Vietnamese community, Kensington parishioners, MSC priests and brothers, members of the Chevalier Family, OLSH, MSC Sisters and Lay MSC.
Sunday 9th September. Khoi celebrated a Thanksgiving Mass in Kensington Mass and, later in the day, a Mass for the Vietnamese community,
Khoi was assisted at the Mass by three members of the MSC General Administration, Superior General, Abzalon, and assistants, Chris Chaplin and Humberto (Brazil).
Terry Bowman, parish priest of Blackburn, preached the homily for the occasion.
PP of Kensingtom, Alo Lamere MSC, welcomed Khoi and visitors to the reception.
