Chapter. Day Four.

Once again, a wide range of discussions.

Information about MSC in Vietnam, and directions in ministry and decision-making. There was an exercise, an Emmaus walk, a member from Vietnam with two other members, reflecting and sharing on Vietnam and discovering where “hearts were burning” on particular issues.

Discussion also about vocations, a paper of brainstorming ideas and strategies and action from younger members of the province at a meeting earlier in the year.

The question raised about vocations from our colleges, John Mulrooney speaking to the issue, the mentality of the young who cannot understand the restrictions of religious life, especially poverty and celibacy.

And hopes that they may reassess their lives when older.
Vocations have been strong in Vietnam, social media, friendships, aspirants recommending MSC to their friends.

Discussion also about initial formation, conscious of our small number(s),questions about programs, formaters, locations, the developing sense of community. Our relationship with the Yarra Theological Union and studies, international possibilities.

And, Friday is the first Friday of May, the intention of the Justice and Peace committee of the Chevalier Family.
