MSC Media/Communications International, Javier Trapero

javier trapero

Javier wrote the media communiques for the last General Chapter. He is also Javier is a Partner in Mission for the Chevalier Family, working professionally for the MSC in communications. He has accepted the invitation of the International Council to join us and participate in our mission, particularly in helping us effectively share the distinctiveness of the spirit of the lay movement of the Chevalier Family.

He writes: I am creative and passionate about communication, my family and Christ (not always in this order, ha, ha...). My name is Javier Trapero. Curiously, I am named after Francisco Javier, the patron saint of missions. I have always thought that my parents gave me that name because of God’s inspiration. When I was young, I asked myself what use creativity and communication could be to missionaries. Now I have the answer. After more than 30 years of training and working in different fields of communication and creativity, I work as Director of Communication for the MSC Province of Spain, and head the Communications desk of the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart.

trap chapter

I am married to Flor and I am the father of three children (María, Juan Luis and Mateo). I live my family as a true vocation. I love to see my children grow up and live as part of a family.

I am a very spiritual person. I like to spread the Word of God. I always say that in the Gospel are the answers to any circumstance we encounter on our journey. Jesus gave us a perfect manual to follow his ‘lifestyle’. He is my model in everything I do. When I discovered the Spirituality of the Heart, I realised that it fits my way of being and acting. That is, I try to do everything with creativity and a lot of Love.
