Slayer is a brief small budget horror thriller. Set on an Atlantic island, the film has atmosphere of hauntings and has some gruesome murders. The film has the usual set of characters: two couples and sinister people on the island. While the plot is somewhat difficult to follow, there are some eerie devices. The film gives the impression that it was an early film of a budding director or a technical exercise. Not of great interest in itself, but not such a bad example of an over-popular genre of the late '70s and early '80s.
