The Australian MSC Province has a long history of media ministry.
Since 1889, the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart have published Annals, in the tradition of Jules Chevalier who published the first Annals in France in 1866.
Compass Theology Review was established in 1967 by Fr Dennis Murphy MSC as a magazine to keep readers abreast of the reflections on theology in the aftermath of Vatican II. It continues to be a review of Topical Theology.
The Province has also published a number of periodicals including Nelen Yubu (Missiology Review), Perspectives (MSC Education) and MSC Encounter.
Fr Chevalier wrote many books and this tradition has also continued down the years with many books and pamphlets being written by numerous MSC.
As the digital age has developed, many MSC have recorded audio and video material, music, talks and a variety of interviews. Several specialised websites have been set up.
We will continue to make available this visual material on what we call: Chevtube.
